IPL Final 2026: GT restricted

IPL Final 2026: GT restricted to 155/8 in IPL 2026 Final at Ahmedabad. Hazlewood dismissed Gill for 10, Bhuvneshwar removed Sudharsan for 12. Washington Sundar top-scored with 50.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s bowlers set up what could be a historic night in Ahmedabad — restricting Gujarat Titans to 155 for 8 in the IPL 2026 Final at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Josh Hazlewood struck in the third over, dismissing GT captain Shubman Gill for just 10 — a top edge that Rajat Patidar caught cleanly. Bhuvneshwar Kumar then removed the in-form Sai Sudharsan with a short, wide delivery that drew a pull shot and a top edge. GT’s two most dangerous batters were back in the pavilion with only 26 on the board.

Washington Sundar held GT’s innings together, bringing up a fighting half-century off 37 balls — the innings that kept GT competitive. GT were reduced to 115 for 6 in the 16th over before Sundar’s resistance helped them finish at 155 for 8.

Jos Buttler made 19 before being stumped off Krunal Pandya.

RCB were left to chase 156 to become only the third franchise in IPL history to win back-to-back titles, after Chennai Super Kings (2010, 2011) and Mumbai Indians (2019, 2020).
