Tiger Shroff Firing: Shooters Arrested: In a rapid multi-state breakthrough, law enforcement agencies have apprehended the three assailants responsible for the Sunday evening assassination bid on Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai’s Juhu.

The trio—intercepted on Monday morning at Rajasthan’s Kota railway station aboard a Delhi-bound train—was cornered in a coordinated strike by the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), Kota City Police, and the Mumbai Police Crime Branch.

Investigators have corroborated that the hit squad was executing directives issued under the Lawrence Bishnoi criminal syndicate, with overseas-based handlers orchestrating logistics, funding, and transit routes across North India.

The Arrest in Kota: How the Getaway Collapsed

Tiger Shroff Firing: Shooters Arrested Following the ambush outside Pushpa Narsee Park in Juhu around 7:00 PM on Sunday, the attackers abandoned their getaway motorcycle near Andheri West railway station.

To evade continuous CCTV tracking across Mumbai’s suburban rail network, the suspects boarded a long-distance train heading out of Maharashtra. Technical intelligence and live surveillance from Mumbai Police alerted Rajasthan law enforcement as the train crossed the western transit corridor.

A team from the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force cordoned off the Railway Colony perimeter near Kota railway station. All three suspects were detained directly from the train before they could reach Delhi, where they had planned to alter their trail and push toward border crossing points.

Two additional associates have been detained from the Maharashtra–Gujarat border area for providing local logistic support.

  • Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan (22):Hailing from Begusarai, Bihar, Kumar had been living in Andheri West working as a Rapido bike-taxi rider. His familiarity with suburban Mumbai’s alleys and sports club timings was leveraged to conduct surveillance and map the extraction route.
  • Rehan (18):From Sonepat, Haryana—a long-standing recruitment hotbed for the Bishnoi syndicate. Rehan was dispatched to Mumbai alongside the minor to execute the contract.
  • The 17-Year-Old Minor:Also from Sonepat, working locally as a potter. He was roped into the gang’s network via encrypted messaging groups, offering monetary compensation and gang status.

The Handlers: The Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu Nexus

While foot soldiers carried the weapons, operational command rested with senior syndicate figures operating abroad.

Shortly after the Juhu ambush, an audio statement and social media declaration emerged from Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu.Pandit, an absconding gangster originating from Haryana and currently believed to be operating from safe houses overseas, claimed direct responsibility on behalf of the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate.

Pandit’s name previously surfaced in targeted shootings and extortion calls across Maharashtra, Punjab, and Rajasthan, working in tandem with jailed and international syndicate nodes.

Why Did the Gang Shoot at Tiger Shroff?

The purported audio claim issued by Pandit outlines the syndicate’s motive: enforcing an industry-wide boycott and extortion diktat centered on superstar Salman Khan.

“What happened with Tiger Shroff today, we take responsibility for that—Harman Sandhu and myself. He was counselled, but did not understand us. In the entire film industry, whoever works without aligning with us, or works with Salman Khan, will be killed. This is the first and last warning.”

Police investigators point to two key drivers behind the shooting:

  1. Proxy Intimidation Against Salman Khan:Having previously targeted Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments residence in Bandra and claiming responsibility for the assassination of NCP leader Baba Siddique in late 2024, the syndicate is systematically pressuring colleagues and actors who maintain active commercial or personal associations with Khan.
  2. Re-establishing Extortion Dominance in Mumbai: By targeting a leading, physical action hero outside a high-visibility venue in Juhu, the syndicate seeks to demonstrate reach and induce panic across Mumbai’s film and production ecosystem.

The Ambush and Medical Status

The shooting occurred as Shroff entered his grey BMW following a Sunday evening football match. Assailants opened fire from the passenger side, discharging multiple rounds.

  • Tiger Shroff:Escaped direct bullet hits.He sustained injuries to his left hand caused by gunpowder flash and shattered windshield glass. Visuals showed the actor taking the wheel himself to steer away from the kill zone.
  • Driver Firdaus Ibrahim Baloch:Sustained a bullet wound to his left hand and remains under medical care at Nanavati Hospital.
  • Bystander Umesh Chavan:An autorickshaw driver near the spot sustained injuries and was admitted to Cooper Hospital.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Shroff’s residence late Sunday night to review security, while Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis asserted that organized extortion syndicates attempting to establish a footprint in Mumbai will face relentless enforcement.

The three arrested suspects are being transported from Kota back to Mumbai under transit remand to face charges under Section 109 (attempt to murder) and Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) alongside the Arms Act.
